CCI Successfully Delivers 3LPE-Coated Pipes for Major Gas Infrastructure Project in Ireland
 
CCI continues to supply high-quality 3LPE and 3LPP coated steel pipes to energy and infrastructure projects throughout Europe and beyond. From our production facility in Klundert, located within the Moerdijk industrial area in the Netherlands, we produce substantial volumes of coated steel pipes every day, supporting a wide range of critical pipeline projects.

Recently, CCI successfully completed and delivered a project for ITFS, a leading supplier and partner to the gas infrastructure sector in Ireland. Through ITFS, the coated pipes were supplied for a major gas producer and network operator. Thanks to CCI’s extensive experience within the gas transmission industry, covering both external and internal coating applications, the project was executed efficiently and in full compliance with the client’s requirements.
For this project, the end user specified technical requirements that exceeded standard industry specifications. To ensure full compliance, a project-specific Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) was developed, followed by a comprehensive Pre-Qualification Test (PQT) production run. This qualification phase successfully demonstrated that all technical, quality, and performance requirements could be achieved consistently during production.

Following the successful completion and approval of the PQT, CCI was awarded the full production scope, consisting of 793 metres of DN762 (30-inch) steel pipe with an external 3-Layer Polyethylene (3LPE) coating system.

Upon completion of production, the pipes underwent final inspection and verification by an independent third-party inspection agency. The inspection confirmed full compliance with all project specifications and quality requirements, enabling successful delivery to ITFS and their end customer.
