Evides and CCI sign contract for supply of 69 kilometres of pipeline
Evides Managing Director Bart Combee and CCI Director Benjamin Beck today signed an agreement for the supply of 69 kilometres of steel pipeline. The pipelines will be laid between the Markiezaat junction near Woensdrecht and the Sloe area in Vlissingen-Oost. Via these new lines, raw water among other things will be transported to the new Wranghe drinking-water treatment plant near Kapelle. In this way Evides is securing a future-proof drinking-water supply for residents and businesses in central Zeeland. Drinking water and industrial water will also be transported via the new pipelines from Wranghe to domestic and industrial customers in Vlissingen-Oost and Walcheren.
In total almost 3,900 pipes will be supplied, with a total weight of 14 million kilos and diameters of 711, 813 and 914 mm. The steel pipes are produced in Europe. At the CCI site in Moerdijk the pipes receive an external PP or PE coating, which extends their service life. Internally, cement lining is applied to the strictest drinking-water quality requirements.
CCI Leidingsystemen is proud of this agreement — one of the largest projects in its history!
